Privacy and POPIA notice

This notice explains how Advanced Renal Care handles personal information collected through this website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Information collected at our clinics as part of your medical care is governed separately by our clinical records policy and by health legislation.

This website does not store form submissions. The appointment request form and the Ask a Nephrologist form assemble what you have typed into a message that opens in WhatsApp or your email client, and you choose whether to send it.

When you do send a message, we receive the details you included — typically your name, your contact number, your preferred clinic and the reason you are contacting us.

We use those details for one purpose only: to respond to you and, where relevant, to arrange a consultation or dialysis session. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your separate consent.

Enquiry details are kept only as long as needed to assist you. If you become a patient, your clinical records are retained for the period required by South African health legislation.

Do not include ID numbers, medical aid membership numbers or detailed medical history in website forms. If we need those, we will collect them securely at the clinic. Questions submitted through Ask a Nephrologist may be published as general education, always rewritten and anonymised, with no identifying detail.

Messages you choose to send travel through WhatsApp or your email provider, which operate under their own privacy terms. Our clinic maps are embedded from Google Maps. We do not share your personal information with any other third party without your consent, unless the law requires it.

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete information we no longer need, or withdraw consent for us to contact you.
