Seven stages, in the order they happen. Take them at your own pace.

Stage 1 of 7 · Arriving

You walk in and someone is expecting you

Our transport can collect you, or you can park free of charge on site. You are greeted at reception, your details are checked and you are shown around the unit — including where the bathroom is, which is the question everyone actually wants answered.

Nervous is normal. Say so; the staff will stay with you.

What the room is like

Quieter than you are imagining

People often picture something cold and clinical. In practice it is a calm room of reclining chairs, low conversation, television, the soft hum of machines and nurses moving between patients.

Many of our patients come on the same days and times each week, so the people beside you become familiar faces. A good number of friendships have started in those chairs.
